The busy season for artistic skaters continues, as the second competition of the year took place just one weekend after the first, on the 22nd and 23rd of March 2025. Hosted once again at Breydon Arena in Great Yarmouth, the event was a national competition organized by GB Skate Artistic, drawing clubs from across England and Wales to compete in the Spring Solo Dance Competition.
This competition marked a significant milestone for many of the participants. In addition to the seven skaters who had competed the previous weekend, three other ISC skaters joined the event, making their mark on the national stage. For Catherine, it was her very first ever dance competition, while Amy, Bethany, Esme, Sophie H, and Maddy were all competing in their first national-level dance event.
Despite the pressure of competing at such a high level, all the skaters rose to the challenge with remarkable performances, earning a haul of medals and showcasing their growth and determination. The event was not only a chance to compete but also an opportunity for these skaters to experience the excitement and camaraderie that come with being part of a larger skating community.
Outstanding Results and Achievements
The competition saw some truly impressive results, with skaters from various categories bringing home well-deserved accolades.
- Kirsty triumphed in the Novice Roller Cup, taking 1st place in free dance and 3rd place in compulsory dance, and 1st overall in the 15 & 16 years category.

In another highlight of the competition, Sophie P placed 7th in the Elementary and Prelim category, where she competed against skaters not only at a higher test level but also in one of the largest categories of the weekend.
